Gadget Hub Canada makes every effort to ship orders within the time frame specified on our website and on our emailed order confirmation. Unless the product is backordered or out of stock, order processing times are contingent upon payment authorization and the financial institutions verification (for credit card transactions) and do not include evenings, weekends, or holidays. Goods are shipped by a carrier of our choice from our preferred distributor's based on the most economical location and method and usually without regard to the final destination of the order. Shipments may also be done by our distributors or manufacturers on our behalf. A signature is required upon delivery in accordance with the requirements of our insurance, your credit card institution, and that of our distributors. It is agreed a Proof Of Delivery from the courier shall be accepted as delivery of the goods.
Flat rate shipping fees are based on the average cost to ship a small package within the same Province to a local and commercial address close to a major courier hub (<80km). In some cases, the actual shipping charges may be higher than those stated on our website or in your order confirmation because the dimensional weight or physical weight of your order exceeds the flat rate weight limit, the product has odd dimensions, your delivery address is too far from the couriers hub which they typical classify as a rural location, or is a residential address which may or may not requires special attention. Should such a situation arise, we will contact you with the adjusted freight cost and/or handling fees and ask for your approval before proceeding with your order.
Refused or undeliverable shipments (including those taken to a courier depot for pick up that were not picked up within the allotted time frame) will be subject to a restocking fee of up to the full value of the goods depending on the policy of our vendors/manufacturers, in addition to applicable shipping, transaction and insurance fees including the cost for the courier to return the order to the place of origin. Gadget Hub Canada responsibility ends with the goods being placed in the hands of the courier for delivery. The courier is responsible for the safe keeping of the goods and their delivery. Any loss or damage is the sole responsibility of the courier up to the standard insured value and we will assist a customer where possible for any cliam.
Due to the high risk of fraud and loss associated with these locations, we do not ship to shopping or strip malls, constructions sites, hotels or motels, temporary lodgings, conference centers, gas stations (or similar locations known to employ transient workers), post office boxes, lock boxes, freight holding or forwarding companies, private reservations, or courier satellite offices. We only ship to bank verified addresses and a signature is usually required upon delivery in keeping with the merchant requirements of both Visa and MasterCard, most insurance carriers, and the recommendation of law enforcement agencies.
Goods Damaged In Transit
Do not accept shipments if the box or boxes appear damaged or have opened during in transit. Under such circumstances and if you accept the shipment, you are responsible for the condition of the goods. Should you accidentally receive a shipment that showed physical damage, we will assist you in filing a claim with the courier for compensation up to the insured value of the shipment. Note that most couriers require any claims to be made immediately - usually within 2 business days from the date of receipt. This is your responsibility as the receiver.
Delays In Deliveries
Gadget Hub Canada has no control over or responsibility for couriers companies or any unforeseen issues that may arise during their delivery of goods and packages. Common issues that can lead to delays include poor weather, mechanical breakdowns, unusual package volumes (typical around the holidays), medical emergencies, and acts of God. We use only the most reputable carriers for our deliveries in an effort to provide our clients with the best service possible but sometimes delays are simply unavoidable.
Unless otherwise indicated on your order and in keep with common practice, we ship all orders with the carriers minimum default insurance regardless of the value of the goods. If your credit card does not offer you goods lost in transit or damage protection or you wish to purchase additional insurance up to the full value of the goods, please contact us prior to placing an order so that we can quote you on the cost of the additional insurance.
